The MexxPower MX-TM86H is a powerful, compact PTO-driven wood chipper designed to tackle tough jobs with ease. The MX-TM86H wood chipper, despite its compact size, is built to endure commercial use. Its aggressive hydraulically powered infeed roller pulls material into the chipper head with the force of a powerful hydraulic motor. This motor operates independently, powered by the chipper’s self-contained hydraulic pump and a 5-gallon reservoir tank, ensuring consistent performance.

The chipper features a true 8″ x 6″ infeed opening, capable of handling crooked branches with ease. While this opening size is generous, the actual material you can chip depends on your tractor’s horsepower. With a 15 HP tractor at the PTO, you can easily chip material up to 4 inches in diameter.

The large 6.25-inch diameter infeed roller climbs up and grabs branches, efficiently pulling them into the flywheel. The MX-TM86H is equipped with four dual-edge reversible CR12 carbon knives and one bed blade. These reversible chipper blades double their lifespan by allowing you to flip them and use both cutting edges.

The Pressure Compensate Flow Control Valve offers precise control over infeed roller speed without causing back pressure on the hydraulic pump. This feature allows you to adjust the infeed roller speed to match your tractor's capabilities, extending the life of the hydraulic pump.

The MexxPower MX-TM86H requires a tractor with a Category 1 or 2 three-point hitch and at least 15 HP at the PTO, up to 50 HP. Chipping capacity increases with horsepower; with 15 HP, you can chip 3-inch hard and 4-inch soft material, while 50 HP allows you to chip material up to 6 inches in diameter effortlessly. Testing has shown that a 25 HP tractor provides excellent work-to-fuel consumption ratios. Tractors with over 50 HP will not overpower or damage the chipper due to shear bolt protection but may consume more fuel for similar results.

This PTO wood chipper is designed for easy maintenance, with a rotor cover that opens with the removal of just one screw for quick access to the knives. The input chute can be lifted and secured with a pin for easy transportation.
